Magic the Gathering - Collector Booster - The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth Holiday Release
Cada sobre de coleccionista incluye:
- 2 Non-foil showcase Scrolls of Middle-earth commons – Each of the 101 commons from the main set of The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth can be found in these two slots.
- 2 Silver foil showcase Scrolls of Middle-earth commons – The same as the above slot, except in silver foil.
- 2 Non-foil showcase Scrolls of Middle-earth uncommons – Each of the 79 uncommons from the main set of The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth can be found in these two slots. In addition to the 79 uncommons, each of the 9 versions of Nazgûl show up one-ninth of the time such that, in total together, they appear as often as any one of the other 79 cards.
- 2 Silver foil showcase Scrolls of Middle-earth uncommons – The same as the above slot, except in silver foil.
- 1 Non-foil showcase Scrolls of Middle-earth rare or mythic rare – Here you will get either one of The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth's 60 rares (41%) or 20 mythic rares (7%), or a one of the 72 rares (49%) or 8 mythic rares (3%) from The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth Commander decks released earlier this year.
- 1 Silver foil showcase Scrolls of Middle-earth rare or mythic rare – The same as the above slot, except in silver foil.
- 1 Surge foil full-art Middle-earth map land – Inspired by popular maps depicting geography from The Lord of the Rings story, this treatment is found on 10 total basic lands (two of each kind). Each Special Edition Collector Booster is guaranteed to have 1 of the 10 in surge foil.
- 1 Non-foil borderless Scene Box rare or mythic rare, or 1 extended-art rare Jumpstart card – This slot is the place to find the 20 new borderless Scene Box rares (74%), the 4 new borderless Scene Box mythic rares (7%), or the 5 new extended-art Jumpstart rares (19%). Every card in this slot is brand new as of the holiday release, and this slot is the only place to find these treatments.
- 1 Surge foil extended-art rare or mythic rare – For fans of surge foil, this slot has some very exciting cards within! We gave 28 extended-art rares (86%) and 9 extended-art mythic rares (14%) the surge foil treatment. These 37 cards include all the extended-art versions from the main set of The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth summer release. They are the same 37 cards that you can find in non-foil in the summer Collector Booster and include cards such as The One Ring, Palantír of Orthanc, and Delighted Halfling.
- 1 Surge foil Booster Fun card, or a surge foil or serialized Realms and Relics card – Serialized Realms and Relics cards are the scarcest find in this slot. We took the 30 Realms and Relics cards that were Box Toppers released earlier this year, gave them the double rainbow foil treatment, and serialize numbered each out of 100 (XXX/100). Appearing in just under 0.2% of Special Edition Collector Boosters, 1 of the 100 of each Realms and Relics card can be found here, like Ancient Tomb (Balin's Tomb) and The Great Henge (The Party Tree).
The remainder of the cards found in this slot all feature a surge foil treatment. In addition to serialized cards, the 30 Realms and Relics cards (12.6%) can be found in this slot with the surge foil treatment.
For surge foil showcase Ring cards, we took the 10 uncommons (50%), 14 rares (11.7%), and 6 mythic rares (2.5%) that can be found in the summer release and gave them the surge foil treatment. You can also find the 5 rare (4.2%) and 1 mythic rare (0.4%) borderless lands in surge foil.
We took the new borderless Scene Box cards, shown and discussed below, used them to create all-new borderless scene cards, 20 rares (16.7%) and 4 mythic rares (1.7%), and gave them the surge foil treatment. These Scene Box cards are available in traditional foil in the Scene Boxes themselves. In Special Edition Collector Boosters, they can be found in this slot in surge foil and in non-foil in a non-foil slot, as listed above.
- 1 Silver foil or non-foil Brothers Hildebrandt card, 1 traditional foil or non-foil borderless poster card, or 1 serialized borderless poster card – For each of the 20 mythic rares featured in the summer's main set release, we created brand-new artwork with the borderless poster treatment. The first way you can find these awesome new renditions is as a serialized offering with the double rainbow foil treatment. There are 100 each of the serialized borderless poster cards (0.1%) numbered XXX/100.
Like their main set versions, the borderless poster cards are mythic rares. They are found in this slot in non-foil (11.1%) and traditional foil (11.1%) in addition to the serialized version.
This slot also features the art of the Brothers Hildebrandt extensively in both silver foil and non-foil. These are classic Magic cards that weren't in the original Tales of Middle-earth release but that we have now brought into the world of Middle-earth. There are 5 uncommon borderless Brothers Hildebrandt cards in non-foil (25%) and silver foil (25%). There are 10 rares in non-foil (11.1%) and silver foil (11.1%), and there are 5 mythic rares in non-foil (2.8%) and silver foil (2.7%).
Of note, this slot and the previous one are connected. If you get an uncommon from this slot, then you will have gotten a rare or mythic rare from the previous slot, and vice versa.
- 1 Double-faced surge foil token – What would a Collector Booster be without a little extra bling for tokens? We took the same tokens that are found in the summer release and gave them a surge foil treatment. The new Smaug token just feels that much better in surge foil!
Note: For surge foil tokens, the front and back token combinations may be different than those found earlier this year. As we updated collector numbers for surge foil cards, we also updated collector numbers when creating surge foil tokens.
